Cuties=Wins!

A few weeks back, the Stunnas named the three sexiest college football players Tim Tebow, Zac Robinson, and Todd Reesing. Homwever, it turns out we managed to pick not only the most attractive, but also the leaders of succesful teams thus far. These quarterbacks' good looks are driving their teams to victory, as evident when all three men's team have made both the AP TOP 25 and the USA Today Poll top rankings list.

Tim Tebow, and his Florida Gators are once again at the top of the charts, not only on OUR poll, but also according to the officials at AP TOP 25 and USA Today.Tebow is the driving force behind his team and has lead the defending National Champions to a 4-0 start this season.

So far, the future is looking brilliantly bright for another championship run. To all those concerned girls, Tim Tebow did suffer a mild comcussion in the 41-7 victory of University of Kentucky, but has been released from the hospital. Word has not yet been released when he will be able to play, but Gator fans better hope it's before they take on the rivaling LSU Tigers October 10th. Even though Tim Tebow may be a little scuffed up, who doesn't like a man with a few battle wounds to nurse? These qualities make for the perfect bad boy and tough look. 

OK State, whose quarterback Zac Robinson's looks are far more that OK, has also proven he has almost as much football talent as he does good looks. Zac has led the Sooner's to a 2-1 record an a stout #8 ranking on the AP TOP 25 and just missed the top ten mark in the USA Today coming in at a close #12. It appears the OK State's season is off to and OK start!

Coming in at #16 in the USA Today rankings and #18 in the AP Poll is none other then quarterback cutie Todd Reesing and his Kansas Jayhawks. While Kansas's record at four wins and zero losses is comparable to Florida's record, their schedule and league are not rigorious as other football oriented schools, such as Florida and Oklahoma State. But no one ever said Todd Reesing's looks weren't comparable to those of Tim Tebow and Zac Robinson!

Football Festivities

Ever wondered what a college town is really like during football season? Ane Cimino, , a freshman at the University of Georgia this fall, gave us her personal insight and experience of being in the midst of a typical Georgia football weekend. Last Saturday, September 12th, she attended her first college football game in Athens, where University of Georgia took on University of South Carolina for their first SEC home game. 

Ane has been in Athens since classes kicked off in August, and our question is, how do does the overall atmosphere of the town transform during the football season? Ane starts off by explaining that the town becomes "a lot more crowded, but it also becomes more of a united family." She told a story of how she was tailgating, a pre-game ritual, with her friends and people offered them some of their food (that were complete strangers). "I thought it was really friendly of them," she added. Since this past weekend was Ane's first college game weekend, she was not ready for all the vast display of team spirit she witnessed. Ane woke up at 10 AM and looked out of her window and saw nothing but a sea of red and black and the game was not even scheduled for another nine hours! 

Ane also mentioned some minor downfalls to her first college football experience. She recalls that "there were a lot more drunks" and that the "frat boys sat above them in the student section and sprayed water, beer, and coke on them every time UGA scored." However, the worst thing that she encountered during the festivities was at half time when ESPN interviewed South Carolina's coach Steve Spurrier. The student section began to yell crude and derogatory statements at him and even the band joined in. She s

aid, "it almost embarrassed me that I was a part of the student body.... I felt as if I was stooping to a new low. It is one thing to have pride, but they pushed it." 

Overall Ane said that the weekend was a success, and one that will not be soon forgotten. She concluded that college football games were even better than she anticipated and the hype of the town on game days takes college to a whole different and more exciting level.

Blonde Bombshells Insight on College Football

We are here with Caleigh Lentz, currently a senior at Deerfield Windsor School. This blonde-headed bombshell loves the color pink, spending weekends at the beach, and hanging out with her boyfriend. Her hobbies include shopping, getting manis and pedis, and tanning. So we’re here to uncover her unique view on college football, as

 girly as it gets.

1. Q. What is the first thing you think of when you think of college football?

A. Hot boys, tight uniforms, and getting dressed up with my girlf-

riends for a good time.

2. Q. Who is your favorite college team and why?

A. My favorite college football team would have to be… University of Georgia, because UGA is just too darn cute.

3. Q. Who is your favorite college football player and why?

A. Tom Brady, I really like him. (an NFL player, not a college football player)

4. Q. Describe your first college football experience.

A. I was 6 years old and my Dad took me up to Athens. I remember sitting on top of his shoulders, dressed in my Georgia cheerleading uniform, and waving around my black and red pom-poms.

5. Q. Is a good college football team an important factor in choosing a college for you?

A. Well, since I am not a huge fan of football, it does not really matter so much to me. I think it would definitely be a fun experience to be a part of, but that will not determine where I go to college.

6. Q. Who do you predict will win the Bowl Championship Series (BCS?)

A. I think that University of California Los Angeles will win. They have really good practicing conditions with its perfect weather conditions in sunny California, and climate is

 important to football players.

7. Q. Overall, how do you feel about the BCS system?

A. I am not so familiar with it… but I hear my dad complain that they should do playoffs so maybe they should try that and see how it works out?

8. Q. What would you estimate your average time spent watching college football in the fall to be?

A.Umm… not a lot. Maybe a few minutes here and there with friends or at a party, but I do not dedicate special time to it or anything like that.

9. Q. Who in your opinion has the best uniforms?

A. I really think Auburn’s uniforms are cute because I love the combination of white, orange, and navy blue... very manly and official. The Tiger’s stylish uniforms really catch my eye.

10. Q. Which is your favorite college team mascot?

A. Oregon ducks, because most college sports teams have such manly mascots, I like that one team actually has a cute mascot!

College Fight Songs

There are thousands of screaming fans, and the team is about to emerge from the tunnel. As they run on the field, they hear the cacophony of the fans, but more importantly they hear their FIGHT SONG!

The college fight song is above all synonymous of the boundless pride of each particular college team. The fight song commands us to dance, lead cheers, march in step with the band, and get our players pump

ed up. These fight songs send chills down die hard fans backs, and unite an entire stadium with the pride of their team. According to Matthew Jones, "The fight songs really pump me up and get me into the game." These anthems usually mock rivals; they fill the home team with pride, and they fill opponents with outrage.

In singing fight songs, fans feel apart of a large, time honored tradition. Everyone at the game hears the fight song and they are immediatly fileld with school spirit and pride. The players hear the song and become determined to win to keep their schools high sense of pride. Everone loves a good football game, but these fight songs just complete the overall rush and atmosphere of college football.

Hunkiest QB's of the 2009 Season

Let’s face it, for us girls, when it comes to college football, the quarterback is the position that we are most familiar with. Not only because they constantly throw the ball and are constantly in the spotlight, but mostly due to the fact that the man behind the QB helmet is bound to be a total hunk. It almost seems as though being attractive is a requirement to be a great QB just like passing ability, strength, and speed. So yeah, stats and all that may be important but there are also several other important factors when evaluating a quarterback, which, for instance, include how well he pulls off the spandex football pants. Super sexy QB’s can be found all over the country, so lets start down at the “Swamp”…..

Tim Tebow #15

From being a BCS National Championship Winner, to the Youngest Heisman Trophy Winner, Tim Tebow proves that he’s a total football stud. Aside from being just merely a football phenom, Tim Tebow is a total catch. Weighing in at 245 lbs, and standing tall at 6’3”, Tebow’s ripped and perfectly toned body has all of those University of Florida girls googley-eyed for their star quarterback. His stunning good looks and body, hand-crafted from the football Gods, are not the only attractive qualities that Tebow has got going for him. Tebow possesses that sweet Christain boy charm and has not adopted a cocky superstar attitude. For example, T-Bone could have easily entered the NFL Draft last year, but instead opted to remain at UF. He claims that he decided to stay back not because he wanted to go higher in the draft, but because he wanted to impact today’s youth. Tebow proves he is not all about the money and the fame, but instead would rather set a good example for youth that is so accustomed to seeing greedy professional athletes that only care about their own wellbeing. So to sum in up, Tim Tebow is more that just good looks… he’s an all around HUNK.

While Tim Tebow may overshadow most college football QB’s there are some other QB cuties that should not go unnoticed…

Onto... #5 Todd Reesing, starting Senior QB for the Kansas Jayhawks. At 5’11” and 200 pounds, he is on the smaller side for QB purpose but, so what? It doesn’t make the least bit of difference when you’re as handsome as Todd. So ladies, if you like the prep school all-American look, you’re more than likely swooning and drooling over this QB heartthrob!

 Last but NOT least.., Zac “Z-Rob” Robinson star quarterback for Oklahoma State University. Zac’s looks are far more than just OK! Some might say he resembles a sexy cowboy. His perfectly tanned, goldenly radiant skin, and those baby blue eyes pierce right through every girl’s heart. 

"Rules are Made to be Broken"

Rules- things we ordinary citizens live by on a daily basis. When the traffic light signal is red, all drivers know to stop because it is not their turn to go. However, many choose not to abide by nor follow other rules or laws regarding the speed limit. Why, might you ask, do citizens approach speed limit laws with such lax attitudes? Because some people feel speed limit laws are STUPID! Many people are in a hurry to get somewhere, and expect that even if they speed, they won’t get caught. Many avid sports fans feel the same way about the rules and regulations inside the NCAA. Many broken rules inside college football go unnoticed, just like speeders on the road who never get caught. However, it is only a matter of time until the wrongdoer gets caught red handed and has to pay the price.
The rule in college football stating "a coach cannot go down past a certain sideline” is dumb, plain and simply. The coach is the main man in charge; he has a big responsibility of leading and driving his team to success. However, this stupid rule hinders the coach from fully carrying out his job. This encumbers the coach from offering his players helpful tips from the sideline before an important play. That is why, overall, this rule limiting where the coach can stand on the field, is stupid and useless.
Another worthless rule in the college football spectrum is the celebration penalty. This rule is described as "Any delayed, excessive, prolonged or choreographed act by which a player (or players) attempts to focus attention upon himself (or themselves)"; in addition, Rule 9-2, Article 1(a)(2) asserts that "After a score or any other play, the player in possession immediately must return the ball to an official or leave it near the dead-ball spot." How ridiculous does that even sound? It is like telling children to go to sleep early on Christmas Eve and not wait up for Santa; it is impossible. The idea of Santa is too exciting just like scoring a touchdown for a football player is quite the excitement. Who are the refs to say they cannot celebrate? This rule states that if the referees feel as if the team is celebrating too excessively, then that team receives a penalty of fifteen yards. Who are the refs to say that a team engaging in jubilation after a winning play should be penalized for it? I strongly disagree with this frowned upon rule.
The last rule that comes to mind when thinking about stupid rules of the NCAA are the recruiting regulations. This is ineffective because coaches always manage to skirt around this recruiting rule. The end goal is something you want really badly; whether it be snagging the best player or getting to your destination fast on a trip by speeding, you are still breaking the rules. However, in order to reach that ultimate goal, you place important things on the line whether it is a coach’s reputation or solely your own safety. Speeding and recruiting rules are among the most commonly infracted rules and laws around.
