What is the first thing that catches your eye when watching college football? Is it the fans in the stadium? Maybe even the slowly ticking time left on the clock? Or could it be the intimidating built players on the field? Our answer: none of the above. The bright vibrant colors of the team’s uniforms stand out above all the rest. Good uniforms are remembered, ugly uniforms are made fun of. In this blog, the Stunnas will list off and describe our ten favorite college football uniforms, and give reasons for each choice. We composed a list of diverse teams from Ivey league to state schools, and we hope your favorite team made the cut. So sit back, keep reading, and enjoy the show.

Our number one pick went to the University of North Carolina, better known as UNC. This highly competitive and scholarly school chose light blue colored uniforms for their school color. The soft baby blue colored uniforms does great things for the players. Congrats UNC!

LSU holds the number two spot on the list. Who would have ever imagined that puple and yellow would go so well together? Louisiana State University has been through some pretty rough times when Hurricane Katrina hit; and this school has been building itself up everyday since the tragedy. However, LSU has prevailed on top when it comes to college football uniforms. Job well done LSU!

Appalachian State University came in close at third place. App State, located in scenic Boone, North Carolina, has one of the prettiest campus's , and is very eco-friendly for all you green lovers out there. To go hand in hand with the pretty campus, Appalachian State has pretty uniforms. Check them out!

The University of California Los Angeles sits at number four on our list. The vivd gold pants with baby blue jerseys and a hint of white all aid in doing great things for this team. Impressive UCLA!

Sliding in at number five is the Florida Gators. The Gators dwell in the city of Gainsville, Florida. Not only have the Gators won more games than any other NCAA football team, but they also celebrate all their victories in STYLE! Their uniforms are ocean blue, classic white, with a hint of orange. Hear gear Gators!

Clemson Tigers, conveniently located in Clemson, South Carolina place number six on the list. A deep purple and a vibrant orange complete this team's uniform. Clemson's finishing touch? A prefectly placed white paw print on the side of the team's helmets. We're digging the creativity and innovation guys!

Living in Geogia our whole lives, it is hard not to fall in love with our own state team. The University of Georgia located in Athens comes in seventh on our list of best college football uniforms. The fiery red contrasted with the harsh black shades of colors of the Bulldog's jerseys are hard NOT to love. UGA is most popularaly remembered for its successful "Black Out" in which the bulldawgs took a sweet victory over the Auburn Tigers. Gooooo Dawgs!

The Duke Blue Devils located in Durham, North Carolina place at number eight for the most attractive uniforms. The crisp and clean cut blue and white uniform combination is a winning formula for this team. Keep up the good work Duke!

Coming closer to the end end of our top ten college football uniforms is Northwestern, coming in strong at number nine. Northwestern, in the beautiful city of Chicago, Illinois has football uniforms in a pretty shade of purple and classic white. This team's uniforms prove that simple can be better. Hail Northwestern!

Drum roll please...Our last spot goes to the Auburn Tigers! The Tigers reside in Auburn, Alabama and have had a pretty successful season in the years past. Auburn's uniforms consist of a dark navy and orange design that works surprisingly well! Our hats goes off to you Tigers!

Female's Football Frame of Reference

Twenty-two buff bodies tackling each other on the field. ninety-thousand screaming fans in the stands. The smell of beer and sweat lingers in the air as a result of the hundreds of people's pre-game tailgating ritual. Labor Day weekend marks the day when the excitement, chaos, and boasting for one's team first begins. THIS is college football.
Boys fantasize about it, bet on it, argue about it, and talk about college football before the season even begins. Boys know each and every player while girls notice the color of the teams' uniform. Boys can spit out every statistic one could ever even inquire about, but girls are only aware of the "most handsome and good looking" players on the field. This is how the thought processes of girls vs. guys perspectives regarding college football tends to go.
This blog is going to present a new twist on college football. We are not going to focus solely on which player has the best stats of the week. Nor are we going to try to guess which team will come out holding the NCAA championship title. Our goal is to look at different aspects of the game such as things that will interest a larger and more diverse audience than just football-savvy boys; we hope to include things that will interest girls too. Putting a completely different and new spin on the game of college football is the objective here. As we enter into our senior year of high school, we know our college days will roll around sooner than we think. We envision this blog as a learning experience and hope to walk away from this with new information acquired from our college football quest for knowledge.
